    • Working with a educational institution and a panchayat to plant trees along a major road.
    • Social Audit & Accounting work conducted for a Manappuram Foundation along with another NGO
    • Working on a publication about Umayanalloor Ela Wetlands its ponds and other assets related to agriculture
    • Launched a new program "Learning Disablity Management Program" under the domain REACH (Resources for assisting children)
    • Working on the Byelaw for registration of the Home Governing Council and also setting up rules and regulation in institutionalising the same. It has been a struggle given that no money has been sanctioned yet by the ICPS department and we are embarking on a collection spree to make sure that the home runs smoothly.
    • Working with a school to entrust our Wetland Nursey to the schools Boomitrasena club for its upkeep and maintainance.
    • Working towards setting up a day care centre(Pakal Veedu) for senior citizens along with other like minded NGO,s.
    • Social Audit conducted for a Coconut Development Board program
    • Setup a short stay home togethe with Mayyanad Gramapanchayat, conducted a thorough professional interview and admitted children from the CWC to the home.
    • Working with a Panchayat to implent an afforestation drive in all 23 wards of the panchayat together with Department of Environment and Climate Change, Kerala.
    • Conducted a study on Ithikkara Rivers Catchment and released a report on the same. The findings of the study we belielve is key to reviving Ithikkara River
    • Working on reviving agriculture in Kazhikuzhi Ela together with a school, like minded NGO and Agriculture Department
    • Icps Meeting and Release of the Survey Report conducted in Mayyanad Panchayat on issues pertaining to Children of the Panchayat
    • Arranged a seminar together with Mayyanad Panchyat and Fisheries Department towards ending the destruction of Paravur Lake by illegal fishing methods
    • Sunmitted a project together with a Panchayat for Primary Environment Care
    • Identified a site for starting our nursery for wetland restoration efforts being currently being carried out in Kollam District
    • Met with the Agricultural Officer with respect to her proposal of building the irrigation canal with rocks which would wreck the remaining agriculture at Umayanallor Ela.
    • Launced an Energy Conservation Campaign with Dept of Environment and Climate Change and EMC, Kerala in Kollam District.
    • Met the concerned officer and the related director for making a home sanctioned for the girl child a reality in Mayyanad Panchayat.
    • Expansion of our Mangrove Afforestation Program to more wards of Mayyanad Panchayat covering Paravur Lake
    • Child Survey Process Completed in Mayyanad Panchayat incorporating Anganwadi and Asha Workers so as to visit every home. Additionally Panchayat President, Social Welfare Chairman and other ward members visited all the schools along with HELP Foundation towards completion of the survey- 21st October-2014
    • Hosted an Energy Conservation Seminar and Free CFL Distribution jointly with WWF-India. The program was hosted with support of Mayyanad Gramapanchayat, Energy Management Centre & KSEB. Five Selected BPL families from every ward of Mayyanad Panchayat participated in the session.
    • Participated in a discussion on Mangrove Ecosystem with a WWF team from Sunderbans at Kollam  along with the Kerala WWF team and shared details of our Mangrove afforestation program in Paravur Lake.
    • HELP Foundation hosts a pressconfernce announcing the launch of “HELP Foundation River Watch”. Both HELP Foundation and WWF – India are joining hands to involve the student community and the Local Administration through Paravur Lake and Ithikkara River Protection Council. The council will act as permanent working platform with paid office bearers to coordinate needs and provide support through the respective local bodies (Panchayats) as and when needed and on a regular basis.
    • HELP Foundation hosted a Preparatory Workshop/Seminar together with Mayyanad Panchayat as a prelude to the survey. This survey (The Rights of the Child) is to be conducted for the very first time among adolescents in Mayyanad Panchayat, to determine how much young people  know about the Rights of the Child, the extent to which these rights are protected, and which actions should be taken as a priority to improve them.
    • HELP Foundation planted rare trees on a private property on W.E.D so that the saplings are nurtured to become trees and not just planted as tokenism and left there to fend there for itself. Its about time we do an audit on the last decade of sapling distribution by Social Forestory.
    • HELP Foundation partners WWF and Kerala State Biodiversity Board in observing the migratory birds of Kollam.
    • CESS Team visits HELP Foundations Office to discuss the details of the ecosystem restoration activities being spearheaded by HELP Foundation in Paravur Lake.
    • HELP takes part in a two day legal training on Environmental Law related to NGT and Supreme Court lead by lead lawyers practising in the above mentioned courts.
    • Working with the District Adminstration on illegal reclaimation of Paravur Lake just under Pullichira Church to issue a stop memo. This is happening at the very spot where Mother Mary had landed as per the legend during Portugese times.
  • Conducted a semiar on Homeopathic Renal Managerment for Dialysis Patients together with YMCA, Kollam.
  • Campaiging against a slaughter house being biuld by Paravur Muncipality right on the edge of Paravur Lake.
  • Working towards instilling Leadership in our youths amongst all spheres so as to be able to create better leadership and good governance for ourselves.
  • Plan Process initiated towards forming a proper strategy for addressing food security issues which are looming large.
  • Alinging all concerned from Panchayat, to Block Level Officials, Child Line and DCPU(District Child Protection Unit) towards creation of a Child Friendly Panchayat in Mayyanad.
  • Working on raising a Mangrove nursery together with Social Forestory, Kollam.
  • Working with the Revenue Department towards trying to get a grasp of restoring the banks of Ithikkara River.
  • Took part in a workshop conducted by WWF on the launch Of The Energy report - Kerala: 100% Renewable Energy by 2050 by WWF.
  • Working with Social Forestry Office to set up a Mangrove Nursery under HELP Foundations ageis.
  • Working with Major Irrigation Department to identify the exact location of the estuary at Paravur Lake based on our studies and representation. This is key to restoring the Paravur Lake.
  • Working with the farmers of Umyanallor Ela to revive agriculture in as well as thwart the designs of the local elected leaders to convert the paddy fields into real-estate assets.
  • Working with the Social Welfare Department and Mayyanad Panchayat to set up a temp shelter for Female Kids under the Juvenile Justice Act.
  • Fruit Tree Project is primarily aimed at food security as well as creating environmental awareness, biodiversity conservation & creation of green campus primarily aiming the youth of Kollam District in the Kerala State. The saplings required for the project would be acquired locally and would be stocked at each institutions premise. Gardening & Civil works would be done by the respective environment club. Requisite pits would be prepared and filled with organic manure before planting the saplings. Once the planting is done it’s the responsibility of the institution & the green club to maintain the saplings under the guidance of HELP Foundation.
  • Today’s Policy Formulations tend to be biased against rural populations and it’s dictated by business houses and corporations. Adequate Awareness also has to be brought in decision makers, stakeholders on rural solutions and investments need. HELPs Research has worked with the market sources and identified specific adulteration as it happens today and we have established that most of available groceries are adulterated and unsecure. HELP has entered into a tactic understanding with a secure whole sale grocer who is able to provide secure unadulterated supplies. HELP has developed a local Woman Group Enterprise which specializes in Grinding Raw Grocery Items so that the secure food supplies are handed over to them as well as training was provided on adulteration & food safety.
  • A Consortium of NGOs and a premium hospital have come together under HELP Foundations Leadership to launch the proposed HMS & EMS programme. Subsequent to the introduction of Emergency Medical & Pickup Service (EMS), memnership registration will be started. Home Medical Service (HMS) is already running for the past 3 months where we have trained hospital staff providing the care needed. There is bound to be provisions for future expansions and incorporating multiple features in this scheme for its members.
  • Green Messenger HELP Foundations signature GM program is primarily aimed at schools where we train students to be Green Scouts and they are asked to lead by example in thier neighbour hood and surroundings. This has been launched at Mayyanad High School on the 16th of Nov 2012, together with the school enviornment club and the school headmistress. Foundation Class for GM program includes an Earth Series Lecture of ten sessions covering all facets of Ecology and the need to live sustainably, primarily aiming the youth of Kollam District in the Kerala State.
  • 2 February each year is World Wetlands Day. This day marks the date of the adoption of the Convention on Wetlands on 2 February 1971, in the Iranian city of Ramsar on the shores of the Caspian Sea. Each year since 1997, the Ramsar Secretariat has provided materials so that government agencies, non-governmental organizations, conservation organizations, and groups of citizens can help raise public awareness about the importance and value of wetlands. With the sources provided by Social Forestry, Kerala HELP Foundation along with Mayyanad High School Environment club students celebrated WWD by planting 200 more saplings where the saplings got destroyed/decayed as part of he first phase.
  • Combined with JNTGBRI to conceive an innovative environmental project to be submitted to Ministry of Environment & Forests for implementing in Kollam & Trivandrum Districts of Kerala.
  • Working with Schools and Panchayats of Kollam Districy for the TB advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilization Scheme, under a project with RNTCP.
  • Acquired a rural mart and handed it over to the local chapter for operations so as to earn income for themselves and lead the local panchayat towards food security.
  • Assisted the Umayanallor Padashekhara Samrakshana Samithi with research data and other vital information regarding the protection of wetlands and the various violations committed by the Local Administration in granting License to the Water Bottling Plant thus protecting the Paddy Fields from permanant destruction.
  • Conducted a training @HELPs Chapter in Thrikkaruva together with Livestock Development, Kerala on Duck Rearing for our Family Enterprises.
  • Presented a paper of Rural E-Commerce at a National Seminar conducted by Government Arts College Trivandrum, implying how it could lead towards Food Security. Please refer to Downloads for the Presentation.
  • Mangrove Afforestation Program- Harita Theeram Armed with our exposure and experience gained from our first phase of mangrove plantation activities we have innovated towards direct usage of seedling as well as the methods adapted towards planting the same. Planting in places which are less of public use would guarantee that if it has sprouted the chances of survival are more. From our experience of planting saplings our success rate is a little over 10%. Bulk of that has to do with fishing activity at night, where people from far lay their nets without seeing the saplings planted. Based on the sources provided by Social Forestory, Kerala we are touch with indegenous fishermen so that they could start supply of seedlings directly to us. Mayyanad High School Enviornment club students will continue to partner with us in this phase of the program too as in the first phase.
  • As part of the recently announced Global Fund Round-9 TB Project, HELP Foundation participated in a two days training programme on TB & RNTCP for selected NGOs. 
  • Conducted the first enviornmental session for Mayyanad High School students who are part of the Mathrubhumi seed club, so that they are brought on to the Environmental project of Restoration of Paravur Lake to its old glory.
  • Working with and developing the capacity of Panchayat Presidents & other elected members who are endowed with most of the powers within Panchayat Raj Institution.
  • As part of HELP Foundation Life Saving Initiative for Renal Patients we have started to operate DAYA our low cost Dialysis Center in Kollam, kerala. This is being run based on our Life Saving Fund(LSF). Money from the Life Saving Fund (LSF) would be paid directly to the Dialysis Center for the beneficiary. Another salient part of the program is we are in discussion with Dialysis Machine Manufacturers to obtain machines as part of the CSR funds so that we can bring down the cost of a dialysis further. 
  • To restore the breeding grounds, HELP Foundation in partnership with the local Indigenous people at Lakshmipuram Thoppu is embarking upon a mangrove plantation drive with support from the Mayyanad Gramapanchayat and Social Forestry Division Kerala. Mayyanad High school which is registered with Mathrubhumi under the SEED program is also partnering us in this unique endeavor so that the next generation of citizens is involved in the protection, conservation & restoration of Paravur Lake. 
  • As part of HELP Foundation Life support of woman group based microenterprises, we have launched an Enterprise Promotion Fund(EPF) and are working towards collecting tiny monthly donations from our supporters and well wishers so that these groups can be supported without they having to take costly loans to grow their enterprises. EPF is currently raised by collecting token savings from a small group. 
  • HELP Foundation has launched a detailed study to understand the “Analysis of the Wrong Developmental Policy pursued at the behest of traditional industries in collusion with indifferent administration together with detached consumerists quick buck attitude of newer generation and its impact on the pristine Environment, Aquatic habitat, Loss of biodiversity & Livelihood in Paravur Lake”. 
  • Working with our enterprising group members to inculcate saving habit rather than take loan, so as to make them realize success without getting into a credit trap. 
  • Working with a few select Micro Enterprises in the Panchayat along with Kudumbashree so as to develop them better in terms of management & market access. 
  • Ongoing Project of Planting & Maintaining Trees all along a village is association with Kudumbashree & Panchayat authorities. 
  • Integrating MGNEREGA Scheme and Panchayat to plant trees on all roads of the Panchayat.
     Launched our Environment related activities in association with Social Forestry Department & Panchayat on World Environment Day by distributing 500 saplings. 
  • Conducted awareness training for SHG cluster on improving their collective output & market development
  • Rolled out a pilot Health Care product in association with United India & Micro Ensure specifically for Kollam.
