Suleka, Cancer Patient
Sulekha a cancer patient becomes the first patient who comes under HELP Foundations drug support scheme. HELP Foundations medical store would be sponsoring Sulekha’s monthly medicines going forward.
Description
Much of our financial support to patient’s ends up for paying their drug bills of which 40% ends up with the various layers of the drug distribution network. Instead of providing financial support we have set up a Not for Profit Drug Store in Kollam. This could result in we being able to pass on the profit from the sales directly to the patients, thus the savings from the medicinal costs would be a big boost to their home budgets.
Our Drug Store serves 3 types of customers
- a) HELP provides for their medicines
- b) HELP provides a part of the medicine costs
- c) General Public buying from the low cost drug store.
